Privacy policy

Morgan & Walker External Cleaning (“we”, “us”) is a family-run exterior cleaning business operating in Walsall, Wolverhampton, Cannock and surrounding areas. We are the data controller for the information described here — meaning we decide why and how it is used.

We work at customers' properties rather than from a shop or office, so no public postal address is published on this site.

When you request a quote. The form asks for: the services you're interested in; whether the property is residential or commercial; the first line of the address, town and postcode; whether there is rear access; your name; your phone number; your email address (optional); any notes you write; and any photographs you choose to attach (also optional).

When you message us on WhatsApp. We receive whatever you send, along with the phone number you send it from. WhatsApp is operated by Meta and your use of it is governed by their terms and privacy policy, not ours.

Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP addresses, as part of delivering and securing the site.

We use the information you send solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare a price, and carry out any work you go on to book. We do not use it for marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone for their own purposes.

Our lawful bases are your consent, which you give with the tick box on the quote form and can withdraw at any time, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us about our services. Where you become a customer, we also process what is necessary for the contract between us.

Quote requests are not stored in a customer database. The details you submit are sent directly to our own email inbox by a transactional email provider, and that email is where the enquiry lives.

Photographs you attach are held in private storage that is not publicly accessible. The enquiry email contains time-limited links rather than public ones; those links stop working after 14 days.

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions: a website host, a transactional email provider that delivers the enquiry to us, a private file-storage provider for photographs, and Google Workspace for our own email.

This site does not currently run analytics or tracking, and sets no advertising or analytics cookies.

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted after 12 months, along with any photographs attached to them.

Where you become a customer, we keep records of the work and payment for as long as required for accounting and tax purposes, which is six years.

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you; to have it corrected if it is wrong; to have it deleted; to restrict or object to how we use it; to receive it in a portable form; and to withdraw your consent at any time. Exercising any of these is free, and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by ringing their helpline on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
